Sewer and Sanitation

The Town is not responsible for issues with sewers and septic systems.

Contact Onondaga County Department of Water Environment Protection (WEP) for sewage system issues. They are on duty 24 hours a day at 315.435.3157. 

A representative of WEP will respond and investigate your complaint. If the problem is diagnosed as occurring in the public portion of the sewer system, WEP maintenance personnel will take immediate corrective action. If the trouble is in your private waste drain system, WEP will provide a referral to a plumber or drain cleaner for assistance.
